Spanish Word Guessing Game Bell Ringer, Fast Finishers - ¡Adivina Ya!

200 Super-engaging pre-class activities that keep the students quiet and focused as they guess the letters and respond to the yellow, gray and green coded backgrounds. Students always want to finish them even though they don't earn points. Frequently if they finish a class activity, they return to the three I give them each day rather than their phones! Fast-finishers also ask for them. All 200 words from Spanish One.

These are the first 200 and there is a full year with 450.

Start with 102 "martes" and encourage students to try vowels and the most common letters - r and s. Encourage students to sound out vowels and think of previous words. This is not a game of mindlessly inserting letters quickly. Instruct them not to call out the words and ruin it for the others. I find that three a day enables me to take care of housekeeping details while students listen to my daily songs twice.

Spanish Two should be completed by President's Day. Students have told me that this isn't easy to hack like some of the pixel art activities where they look at the conditional formatting. We are also working on a French one.
