If your students struggle with making the connections with what the thinking maps mean, or if you are just getting started with teaching them, these are the perfect maps for you! These multi-flow maps are annotated at the top with words that will help your students make the connection between the meaning of the boxes. When reading the "flow" as a sentence, my students had no problem completing these maps! I started this out as a modification on the board and looked to see that almost everyone had written it on their papers. The next time we worked on a map, my students asked again for me to write it on the board.
Thinking maps are meant to organize thinking! And this certainly helped my kids organize theirs! So here is my sentence frame help in Spanish and English!
I have included editable copies in case you would like to delete or add a box. A rubric is also in this pack, both in pdf and editable form. If you have downloaded my "My, How We've Grown" project, these are the same maps included in that project!
Thank you for your purchase! Please let me know your thoughts :) I plan on posting others we have used--we did not use all of the thinking maps to this degree, but we sure loved our graphic organizers in the ESL and Dual Language classrooms :)
