Product Description

This activity allows for students to reflect on their cell phone use and the pros and cons that come with that especially during the school day. After discussion, students will read a Newsela article regarding France's ban on cell phone use in schools for students that are 15 and younger. After, students are prompted to recognize words in the past tense and write a short summary in their own words about the article. Students will obtain new information in Spanish that will spark discussion and express their opinions regarding a hotly debated topic today.

You will need to create a free Newsela account if you don't have on already in order to access the article from 2018, https://newsela.com/read/students-react-phone-ban-spanish/id/45985/
