For my second level Spanish heritage / native speakers who have mastered paragraph writing and 5 paragraph essays with me the year before, the next step is teaching them to incorporate text evidence into their paragraphs.
This contains 2 practice paragraphs showing students how to construct their own text evidence paragraphs. We wrote the first one about cyberbullying (pulling text evidence from two articles that are linked in the resource and also available in the source packet) and the second about one solution to cyberbulling, also with linked resources. Both include a blank graphic organizer, the graphic organizer filled out, and the completed paragraph. We did the first together as a class and the second the students did in pairs.
