This is a silly story for TPRS all in the present tense about a family who goes hiking and complains about everything - being cold, hot, tired, and hungry and scared. Students can read and act out the story to review the expressions that use "tener." This file includes a vocab page with additional words that will be helpful for pre-teaching before the story, as well as comprehension questions at the end. I use this story in my class after I've pre-taught the tener expressions as a fun comprehensible input lesson. I have included 2 versions with alternate endings as well as a link to an editable document and a digital version for students.
As an extension, have students act out or write the story and change the ending.
