I'm making this popular selling resource free for the next month so that I can get my materials out there and increase my followers, so please follow me!

I put this 8 step guide together for my upper level kids to help them peer edit. This isn't a complete list of what they need to look for, but if they follow these 8 steps closely, the vast majority of the silly mistakes that they make in class will be fixed.

Here is a sample:

Take these steps to ensure a well proofread essay:

1) Look for mistakes in gender (el, la, los, las, un, una, unos, unas)
Words frequently missed - el día, el programa, el problema, el clima, el tema, el planeta, el idioma, el mapa, el agua, la foto, la radio, la carne, la leche, el viaje, el lugar, el país, la parte, la gente, el semestre, la llave, la tarde, la noche, el mar, el sofá, la frase, la clase

If it ends in one of these sufixes, it’s FEMENINE : - dad, -ción, sión, -tad, -umbre, -tud

2) Subject + Verb agreement

Collective nouns (Words like familia, grupo, gente, clase, etc…) use the singular form of the verb.

There are 8 steps like this total.
