Your classroom friends will have a fun time playing this game while learning how to read and spell their sight words. You'll have to cut and laminate these cards first to play this fun game.
For Pre-Primer-Kindergarten (or beginners) you show the first card and point to the first letter. Then the student says that letter, the next student says the second letter and so on. After the very last letter is said the next student has to read the whole word. If the student reads the sight successfully then the next student is SPARKLED, and has to sit down for the remainder of the game. If they didn’t then they’re SPARKLED and the next student gets a chance to try and read the word. Last student standing is the winner.
If your class has advanced and knows their sight words pretty good. Then you can skip the spelling and just go straight to having each student read the sight word. This time though you have to place the cards that say sparkle in the set of cards. If a student gets a SPARKLE card their out and have to sit down. Last student standing is the winner.
