This activity is designed with the preschooler in mind. It is a supplemental activity to work on spatial concepts. In the activity I target /in, on, under, next to, top, bottom/.
I use it as both a receptive and expressive language activity. For children between the ages of 3-4 years old I will give a direction (For example: put the snowflake under the table). For children ages 4 and up I will have the students tell me the
directions to follow.
This can be used in a group or individually.
Included: 1 playground scene with visual assistance.
1 playground scene without visual assistance.
1 page of snowflakes and ladybugs.
Directions: Print out the playground page.
Cut out each snowflake (winter use) and ladybugs (spring or summer use).
Have children glue the snowflake or snowflake on the correct location.
You could also laminate the playground page and the snowflakes/ladybugs and use Velcro to add and take off pieces.
