A step-by-step activity that reinforces the forms of "tener," the ordinal numbers 1st-7th, and class schedule vocabulary.
Students first fill in the six present tense forms of "tener" with teacher assistance. Next, they complete sentences to share their own personal class schedule. The sentences get increasingly difficult in that students need to provide more and more words. Next, there is a "check your work" step and a place for students to write comments on what they need to study or practice: a bit of a self-assessment. Then, students will speak to one another in Spanish, asking what class they have during a specific period. They are also instructed to speak with the teacher. They are to record the information they get from classmates in a chart. Finally, after doing two examples, students will create sentences to say who has which class when.
The directions are in Spanish throughout and the teacher can control the pace of practice by using each activity within a given time frame.
