I use this organizer fairly regularly. Students interview each other, and they must write down key information that they hear.
This pack includes the following:
- speaking organizer - events. Can be used this with current events, vacations (travel unit), what students did over a break (summer, Christmas, etc.), and more. It works well because much of what students are asked to talk about are events. You will receive this in both .pdf and .docx formats.
- speaking organizer - people. Can be used with historical figures, describing family members (family unit), describing teachers (school unit), and more. You will receive this in both .pdf and .docx formats.
- Ideas. A short .rtf file with some ideas on how to use the organizer. I also include ideas on how to use them with places BUT you will notice that I do not include an organizer for places. If you wish to have students interview about places, you will need to modify one of the given organizers.
The directions are in English, but the headings of the rows are in French. They could be changed to other languages, if needed.
Both organizers come with four rows, so students can complete up to four interviews. In the ideas document, I include some "green" ideas to avoid repeated copying.
You could also shorten an organizer to two rows OR have students complete two rows (two interviews) one day and two more another day. I do not include shortened versions. I always have the students do 3-4, so I am only including materials that I have previously used.
