As a special education teacher I see much confusion when it comes to how to accommodate a student in the general education setting. I hand out this letter at the beginning of the year to try and help staff and support staff better understand how these things can be done. I then add in my student's names and all of the accommodations they receive. This is a great way to clear up confusion and come up with ideas on how to even the playing field for any of your special education students. It also keeps adults accountable for the supports that they are supposed to be giving to students. Cheers!
