This is a language arts/ELA activity for Functional Academics/Resource students in late elementary through high school.
Presented with definitions of 12 of the basic figures of speech in literature, the student matches 4 pictures/phrases to each of the definitions.
This can be used as a direct-teach activity or a group activity.
Pages 1-12 feature the actual activity. Pages 13-16 feature the answer key and a label for this workjob.
Print the activity pages out onto white cardstock and laminate. The first two rows on each page - the definition and the 4 blank slots - need to be cut out as a whole. The pictures for each figure of speech concept will be cut out individually.
