This is my unit plan for the school year. My class is a moderate to severe 4-6th grade SDC class. My students have a wide range of ability levels. With that said, I wanted my students to be exposed to classic age-appropriate literature (Charlotte’s Web, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and etc.) while still receiving instruction that is at their level (letters, numbers, sight words, etc) and that is beneficial for their daily lives (transportation, colors, etc).
About the Standards Sheets:
The standards sheets can be used to plan which standards will be taught each unit. I have included blank editable sheets and completed sheets. The completed sheets reference the CORE CONTENT CONNECTORS, which are the standards that have been created for students with significant disabilities in correlation with the Common Core State Standards and the Learning Progressions Framework. They have NOT been adopted by all states. Read more about them on the NCSC website: http://www.ncscpartners.org/
You can find the actual CCCs at:https://wiki.ncscpartners.org/mediawiki/index.php/Core_Content_Connectors
