This is an art project that can be used with students who have special needs, in an elementary art class, or in a general education class. This document includes an owl body pattern that can be traced onto card stock. Students can add wings, feathers, eyes, and feet. I have my first and second grade students trace the pattern on drawing paper, outline with black colored pencil/crayon/marker, and color with markers. I also have students draw at least 3 different types of lines (straight, curvy, diagonal, zig zag, etc). When finished, students can cut owl out and glue on colored construction paper. Great for fine motor skills. All my students love this project!! Hope your students do too!!
