This quick reference guide helps me keep track of which modifications each of my Special Education or ESL students need in my classroom. In an inclusion classroom, it can become difficult, especially early in the school year, to keep modifications / services straight until I learn my students better.
I simply enter my students' names by class period and print out. I copy it onto card stock and laminate. Then I sit down with all my students' SPED/ELL folders and check off each modification that applies to them.
I then have one sheet I can glance at to see who needs what. This takes a little more time to start off, but saves me time when getting to know my kids. It is also a great tool when planning tests and group activities.
