Description
Tunnel to Underground Farm! Increasing urbanization across the globe has created a need for creative urban farming techniques. Farming in cities sounds unusual but in this urban agriculture lesson, students will learn how some entrepreneurs are rehabbing an abandoned city air raid tunnel into an urban farm! This lesson is one way to introduce students to urban farming examples and have conversations about how creative urban farming solutions could help decrease food shortages and decrease food insecurity as urbanization and population put more pressure on our global food supply.
