This is a set of weekly homework for the special eduction classroom.

Save paper using this ONE page per week format! Instead of multiple pages, included on this single-page format are check boxes where a skill can be practiced multiple times. As retention is a continuous challenge for our students with special needs, students will have multiple opportunties throughout the week to practice and review the skill. Each time the skill is reviewed they can check the box.

This homework is a "menu" type format where the student can choose a few boxes to work on per night. There are nine categories (boxes) on each page. The one-page format is designed to cover many of the areas that are included in a special education classroom without being overwhelming. Some of the skills will be duplicated for reinforcement of the skill, such as name and birthday. Other items will change weekly. This is NOT meant to be a page the student completes alone. Many of the skills will encourage parent involvement and interaction, which will also bring awareness to areas in need of practice and instruction.

Having been a special education teacher for 7 years, I know the struggle to find meaningful homework for our students. We work with students all ability levels. Please test out the free pages if you are unsure if this will work for your class. I will also be happy to answer any questions at any time. schoolbellsnwhistles@gmail.com
