Four activities to help students practise using the special triangles to work out exact trig ratios:
1. True or False: Students must determine whether a series of statments, such as sin(30) = 0.5, are true or false by considering the special triangles.
2. Multiplying Radicals Review
A matching activity to remind students how to multiply with square roots/radicals.
3. Special Triangles: Enlargements
A set of enlarged special triangles. Students have to work out the scale factor of enlargement from the originals and then find the missing side lengths.
4. Exact Trig Ratios: True or False (2)
This second activity is more difficult - students have to work out whether the angle give is correct by considering the ratio of the sides.
