PLEASE NOTE that this resource is also included in my "Less Mess" Archaeology and the Stone Age Interactive Notebook Activities"as well!
This activity requires students to think about some early jobs which occurred as a result of specialization in the Neolithic Era (farmers, tool makers, weavers, builders of shelter, and potters). Students list character traits that would be important in order to be successful at each job (along with reasons to support each trait).
Students then answer questions about which of the Neolithic jobs they would be most qualified for, which they would enjoy most, which they would enjoy least, etc.
Finally, students think of their own possible future careers and brainstorm traits (along with reasons to support each trait) they will need to be successful at those jobs.
