Use this puzzle to help students review the different types of specialized cells (plant and animal).
I typically print out the game pieces on brightly colored paper and laminate the puzzle, then cut out the 16 game pieces.
Students will have to match each term with the definition. Once all of the terms and properly matches to their definitions a nice shape will form that has blank edges all of the way around.
The terms defined in this puzzle are:
Nerve cells, guard cells, photophores, epidermal cells, stem cells, eggs, sperm cells, white blood cells, red blood cells, cilia, pollen, meristematic stems, bone cells, cancer, platelets, muscle cells & fat cells.
