SPECIATION TAB BOOKLET:Defining the types of Geographical and Zygotic Barriers in the evolution of different species.
I have made a mini-tab book which details the types of speciation when studying evolution and the origin of species. Speciation is the process by which one species splits into two or more species. Species is Latin for the word ”kind” or “appearance”. Can we base a species by its appearance? Biologists have concluded that based on morphology, physiology, biochemistry and DNA sequences that we can differentiate groups of organisms. There are many reproductive barriers and geographical barriers that help to create new species. This booklet will detail these many ways.
Students will cut out this 8 page tab booklet and define and give examples of the types of speciation. They will follow the teachers instruction or complete the booklet using a book or internet. I have made this booklet to be one sided so each section has its own tab. The booklet is page number 1a,1b to 4a,4b for the students to easily put together. This booklet is perfect to glue into a science journal or binder.
Completed 8 page “tab” booklet. Cuts out to be 4 by 5 inches.
Partially filled out 8 page “tab” booklet. (Cut out and staple left margin)
