PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

In this fun minds-on experiment, fully aligned to Next Generation Science Standard MS-PS3-4 (or 07-PS3-4 if you're in Kentucky), students will learn that mass affects cooling/heating rates and thermal equilibrium. The standard itself suggests a similar activity.

Students will:
• Create a hypothesis based off of an observation and question
• Perform an experiment by following procedures
• Record data
• Synthesize data into a line graph
• Answer 6 analysis questions based on Bloom's Taxonomy

This experiment walks students through the Scientific Method, and can be done as a demonstration or in small groups.
Materials/equipment needed:
→ Beakers (at least 200ml)
→ Thermometer
→ Water
→ Stopwatch
→ Ice
→ Hungry minds
