This fun and engaging, five-speech series is a great way to help students to learn to comfortably speak in public. This series includes "Paint Your World" topic cards that students may use to speak with ease on just about any topic. Topics range from promoting naptime to delivering a presidential speech.
The "Story Building Warm Up" in this series is a fun extemporaneous speaking exercise that gives students the opportunity to loosen up and have a little fun before their prepared speeches.
The five speeches that students will present are:
1. About Me
2. Pretend your favorite singer, actor, cartoon character or any famous person came to spend the day with you. What would you do and where would you go?
3. Five years from now...
4. Research Speech
5. Favorite childhood memories
Using rubrics and guides, the Peer Speech Team (see instructions) will provide helpful feedback to assist students in improving their speaking abilities.
This packet also includes writing and presentation tips, as well as a playful enunciation exercise.
Students will have fun with this series and most importantly paint the world with some wonderful art...their words!
