This mini book and poster set is the perfect way to start speech therapy at the beginning of the year or with a new client.
This packet includes 10 pages. There are 12 half-sheet pages of a mini book. This booklet explains the different speech helpers in our body. They include brain, lungs, diaphragm, voice box/larynx, tongue, mouth, lips, ears. The text is explained in kid-friendly terminology. To make it work with each student, you can have further conversations about form and function or even simplify it.
Also included are a color and black and white page to be posted in your office. I sent home the black and white version as a coloring page for homework. Also included is also a blank body. Cut out the parts and add velcro. Your students can add the body parts to the correct spots on the person.
This is also a great way to focus on speech during a preschool 'All About Me' unit for speech therapy. It's been ideal for articulation and fluency students.
