Speech Language Schema
This resource was created for use with students struggling with understanding the language used for common objects / concepts. Each page can be used for whole group discussion or with individual students.
It is very helpful when used with English-as-a-second-language learners and with students who struggle with schematic thinking. The circles are colour coded to help make associations. For example, in the yellow circle, we put information about where in the environment the object is usually found.
The second last slide / page is a blank template to be used with specific vocabulary to the situation. This resource is available in SMART Notebook and PDF.
