I CAN statements for each target skill addressed. (pg. 3)
Articulation word list with up to 10 words for the following sounds/groups of sounds: /k, g/, /f, v/, /sh, ch, j/, /l/, /r/, /r/ controlled, /s, z/, /th/, /s/ blends, /l, r/ blends (pg. 4)
Open-Ended Articulation Worksheet: Students can write target words for home practice. (pg. 5)
Sequencing Events: Write numbers (1-10) next to each event to sort the listed events or cut apart and sort. (pg. 6)
Comprehension Dots: 5 comprehension questions relating to the story. Students can color or dot (with a stamper) each spot/circle after answering the question. (pg. 7)
Inference to Understand: Tell how characters are feeling and what they are thinking given events from the story. (pg. 8)
Spin & Define: Use a paper clip and pencil to create a spinner. Spin the paper clip and use a defining feature to describe each pictured item. 5 pictured Tier 1 vocabulary items from the story. (pg. 9)
Map It Out Vocabulary: Choose 2 words from the list of 5 Tier 2 vocabulary words. Complete the vocabulary map to define. (pg. 10)
Following Directions: Point to pictures or mark pictures after following each direction. 4 temporal (before, after) and 4 conditional (if, then) directions are included, 2 for each row. (pg. 11)
Pronoun Practice: Use a paper clip and pencil to create a spinner. Spin the paper clip and use a pronoun to describe each picture. Targets: he, him, his, she, her, hers (pg. 12)
Regular Verb Sort: Sort each verb into past tense and present tense. 5 verb pairs from the story included. (pg. 13)
Irregular Verb Sort: Sort each verb into past tense and present tense. 5 verb pairs from the story included (pg. 14)
Craft It Up! Broomstick: Attach small picture cards (not included) or write target words. Have the student add items that flew on the broomstick and match target skills. (pg. 15)
Think About It and Share It!: Students draw or write about friendship and returning favors (pg. 16)
