Some days you just need to get away from the table!
This is a great activity to get your students moving and thinking about their speech goals. The goal is to find the most items around the room, school, or even just the story, that have his/her speech sound. There is a column for beginning, middle, and end. I usually just add up the overall total words since some sounds are harder than others. It can be done in a group or individually. Give the students 5-10 minutes to complete their list so that you still have time to practice the words and share the lists.
This activity can easily fit your schedule and needs. If you have students working on higher level/carry-over skills, try having them create a short story with some of their words!
