I made this for a student who has learning and emotional disabilities in addition to difficulty with intelligibility. He sometimes gets frustrated with family members who do not understand him and has self-reported that he yells and curses at them when he gets frustrated. He uses his speech strategies in session but he was not generalizing, and his feelings were getting hurt when people were asking him to repeat himself. The idea of the story was to get the idea across to him that people want to know what he has to say because they care. I used the example of him pointing out a groundhog because he loves animals and nature, and just loves to point out what he sees outside. Sorry if it's not relatable in your region!
