Students struggling with question comprehension and expression? Look no further for a simple, easy to use range of activities to work on "why" and "negative why" questions. This resource includes 3 different activities to practice answering "why" questions and 1 activity to practice answering "negative why questions".
The 1st activity requires the student to finish a sentence that you have read or they have read where the word "because", "so" or "to" is provided. The 2nd activity includes 28 task cards to answer a "why" question when two choices that the student must choose to answer the question. The 3rd activity involves 40 task cards to answer a variety of "why" questions. The 4th activity involves 32 task cards in which the student practices answering "negative why questions".
Also included is a super cute "superhero game board" to use while practicing these question task cards.
Answering "why" questions requires students to reason and move beyond giving back factual information.
These cards are easy to prep - print on white card stock, laminate and they are ready use to improve your student's skill in answering these challenging "why" and "negative why" questions. The game board is easy to put together. Directions are included in the resource.
