Page 3-4 – Touchdown board game – print, laminate and tape together or place in file folder. Each student decides on a row of footballs to play. Use the decks for antonyms, synonyms, or multi-meaning words on pg. 11-23 or use your own skill cards. Students roll one die, give that number of responses, and move that number of footballs down the field. When the student reaches the end, he scores a touchdown and gets a football. He/she then turns around to go back the other way. The student with the most footballs at the end of the game is the winner. If the student draws a “Touchdown” card, he/she immediately moves to end of the field and receives a football. If the student draws a “Lost Ground – Go Back One Space” card, they must move back one football.
Page 5 – Self-Monitoring – I like students to judge their articulation while we are working. They can make a mark on one side of the sheet for correct responses and a mark on the other side for incorrect. You can also use the football markers on page 6 to mark correct/incorrect responses. This form can also be used to keep track of touchdowns for the board game.

Page 7 – Football player puzzles – Print a number of copies, laminate and cut out. Students try to get as many of one color football uniform (their “team”) by the end of the game. Use with your skill cards or the cards on page 11-23.
Page 8 – Touchdown matching cards – Each student needs a card. As they respond, they get a letter. The first to spell “touchdown” is the winner. Use with your own skills cards or the cards on page 11-23.
