“WHAT I DID THIS SUMMER BOOKLET - NO-PREP
Activity. I created this activity for a fun yet academic back-to-school activity. It is designed for early elementary school grades and with children with special needs in mind as well. The visuals on this booklet
makes it accessible for students who are visual learners/auditory processing issues/attention deficits, etc. There is no prep involved with this 6-page booklet. Just print, staple and use. Make copies for your class.

Page 1 – “This is Me!” cover page. Child draws self-portrait.
Page 2 – Place page. I went to… (with choices), a place for child to draw the place and a sentence fill-in for child to read aloud.
Page 3 – People page I went with… (with choices), a place for child to draw people and a sentence fill-in for child to read aloud.
Page 4 – What did you see page (w/ fill-in) , a place for child to draw what he/she saw, and a sentence fill-in for child to read aloud.
Page 5 – Favorite part of visit, a place for child to draw favorite part, and a sentence fill-in for child to read aloud.
Page 6 – Feelings page with I felt… (w/choices), a place for child to draw picture of how he felt, and a fill-in for child to read aloud.
Provide necessary supplies for drawing/coloring/writing in booklet. Assist child as needed in following directions for each page. Be sure the child
fills in and reads the bottom line of each page. Later, when completed
have each child present/read/show his/her booklet to the group.
