Product Description
Flip-N’-Say with the classic “Brown Bear” book theme. Included
are two versions: One book has color animals and the other has black&white animals. It’s up to you, which
you prefer for your students. There are three flip pages across.
This is a very visual approach to learning. The format of the flip book sentence is:
I SEE/COLOR/ANIMAL** (I see, a brown, bear) (I see, a red, bird) (I see, a yellow, duck)
. **ANIMAL, except for children & teacher
This activity targets many learning areas: vocabulary, sentence building, expressive language, & fluency
in a fun, bright way.

Included:
Animals: Included: bear, bird, duck, sheep, dog, horse, cat, frog. Also: teacher, children
Colors: brown, red, yellow, blue, green, purple, back, white, orange (blank for children, teacher & goldfish)

Read the classic “Brown Bear” book to the child.
It’s up to you how to use the flip book. You can use it while reading the book or after.
The character page can be used to reference the animals in the book, while using the flipbook:
Ideas:
First, name the animals and talk about what color each is.
Use the “Brown Bear” book or character page with the flipbook. Select an animal,
and have the child select the correct color (brown) in the flipbook.
Model the sentence and have the child say it “I see a brown bear.”
Continue with remaining animals (& teacher, children)
There is a “blank” color card for the “children,” “teacher,” and “goldfish.” (I included “orange” for
goldfish, if you’d wish to use this for “I see an orange goldfish”).
As, the student becomes familiar with this activity, use less cueing.

NOTE: Decide if you want to print the booklet pages for the color version or black & white version of animals. It depends on the student you are working with, as to which is a better option.

The INSTRUCTIONS to assemble the product is in a separate PDF file, included in the bundle. Please
refer to the 3-page flip book instructions for the BOOK RING style .
NOTE: There are blank (“Trash”) pages to discard, which seems wasteful, but this is to keep the pages
aligned, if you decide to use the comb binding method.
