-60 “Pick the Verb” sentence cards: in this activity, the student will choose whether “is” or “are” is appropriate for the sentence on the card.
-30 “Correct that Sentence” cards: in this activity, the student will correct the sentence featuring “is” and “are”.
-24 “Finish the Sentence” cards: in this activity, the student is given a subject and the student must generate the predicate of the sentence using the correct verb “is” or “are”.
-30 “Start the Sentence” cards: in this activity, the student is given the predicate of the sentence using “is” or “are” and the student must generate a subject that will make the sentence correct.
- 24 Blank cards to create your own stimuli for the activity.
Instructions for the game: Separate 24 cards of each activity area onto the correct labeled placemat. The student will roll the dice. 1= Pick the verb, 2=correct that sentence, 3=finish the sentence, 4=start the sentence, 5=create your own sentence, 6=roll again.
OR With any of the activity areas, have the students try to get one of each card on their player placemat (pg 36)- whoever gets their placemat filled up first wins!
