“Fabulous /F/ Practice” packet is a unique and visual
approach to articulation. I found this activity effective for students who have extreme difficulty producing the /f/ sound especially in the special education population. These activities use a graphic organizer visual and singles out the /f/ sound. The visual aspect appears to help with the student’s attention and focus to attempt to make the /f/ sound. I have used this with children with autism, language delays and attention deficits. I have also included a visual cue card to remind the child to “Loosely bite your bottom lip and gently blow.”
This packet includes:
/f/ with a vowel sound.
/f/ in the initial position (5)
/f/ in the final position (4 pages)
/f/ in the medial position (5 pages)
A cover page in case you want to create a booklet.
A page with two visual cue cards for /f/ “Loosely bite your bottom lip
and gently blow. Do not use your voice, only air comes out."
