This is a great grab-n-go activity for teaching use of HIS & HER possessive
pronouns (his hat, her hat) and also for possessive of a noun (Jane’s purse). As with many of my activities,
there is a good amount of preparation, but the great part is that you only do this once….after that,
it’s grab and go! The theme here is “Packing a Suitcase.” So student either packs the girl suitcase or the
boy suitcase. Upon placing an item in the suitcase, s/he says “This is her (dress).” or “This is his (shirt).”
If using this is an activity for possessive noun with a person’s name, s/he says “This is Justin’s shirt.”
