Description
These speech therapy inferences cards are a great way to practice simple inferences. These multiple-choice questions include visuals that support students' comprehension, short-term memory, and mental organization. There are a total of 26 cards.
**Note: This resource is included in my best-selling Speech Therapy Questions Bundle and my Early Language MEGA Bundle at a big discount!**
Each Speech Therapy Inferences Card includes:
· 3-4 short sentences that provide clues/information along with an inference question
· A large picture related to the clues to increase comprehension
· Three visual answer choices paired with written words
(You can see examples by clicking the "view preview" button)
To use: Print and cut each page in half on the black line. I typically print on cardstock and laminate OR I print on regular paper and laminate with thick lamination pouches.
Ideas for Differentiation:
• Cover the three answer choices as you read the clues aloud to your student with the visual aid picture (large picture) visible. If your student is able, s/he may answer verbally or using his/her AAC device without choices.
• If not, uncover the three answer choices and read the options aloud as you point to each one.
• If this is too difficult, only uncover two choices (or one) to start - or offer a prompt such as a gesture or verbal prompt.
• To make this more challenging, read the clues and questions without showing visual supports and only show visuals as needed.
This set of beginning inference task cards is ideal for speech therapy, young learners, or special education classrooms, including students on the autism spectrum. They are suitable for both verbal and non-verbal students.
