This game is to be used for speech therapy for articulation practice for initial /g/ and /k/ words. There are 24 initial /g/ words and 24 initial /k/ words.
To play the game, give each student a dinner plate and place all of the food cards on the table upside down. Have students take turns picking food cards. Have them repeat the word on the food card or have them use the word in a phrase or sentence. Have the student place the food card on the matching food item on their dinner plate. Then it is the next student’s turn. When it is that student’s turn again if they get a food card that they don’t have yet they can put it on their plate, if they already have it, they still have to say the word, but they have to put the card back. The first student to get all six items on their dinner plate wins.
You can use just the /g/ food cards or the /k/ food cards or a combination.
