SPEECH THERAPY. This is a “Possessive ‘S Activity,” which targets possessive ‘s of a name of a person and beloved pets. By no prep, you just have to print it with color ink (color is preferred,
because it is simply more fun!). If you want to get fancy, you can laminate the pages for durability.
This activity includes 6 activity pages and sentence strips for those needing this extra support.
6 activity pages for (Jasmine(girl), Aiden(boy), Chloe(baby), Rover(dog), Coco(cat), and Willie(hamster)..
Each page has 7 items that belongs to the given character. So the child would say, “This is
Jasmine’s scooter,” “This is Jasmine’s doll,” etc.
Sentence strips (2): This is ____’s (thing). These are ____’s (things).
Simple to use:
First, introduce child to each page. Have the child read the name of the subject and say all of the 7
items on the right. Talk about the proper grammar for using possessive ‘s.
Then, if the child needs it, introduce the sentence strip. Otherwise, model
the correct grammar for possessive ‘s and have the child say it. Fade use of sentence strip as needed.
