Description

This brochure was made as a companion to an in-service I provided at my school about the role of an SLP in the schools. It has the following features:
-a place for the speech language pathologist to put their contact information
-a section that describes what SLPs do (describes them as "communication specialists")
-quick guide to areas of speech and language services in the schools
-brief explanation of language disorders
-brief explanation of speech disorders
-list of red flags for language disorders
-an age guide for when each sound should be mastered (please note: this list was devised after looking at 4 different norm-referenced articles and finding the average age of mastery, please check with your individual district or school and adapt the list if you have different standards at your school or district)
-editable form in case you wanted to add anything else
