This product is easy to use with your students. It is a great place to start with your WH-question goals.
Students are often pleased to use this activity, because of the visuals.
It gives them the support they appreciate.
First, explain to the child what the book is about. The book is to help answer where questions.
Show the child the visual for where.
Then, explain each page will have a question and the answer choices are on the RIGHT side.
Show him/her the choices.
Go over each choice, one by one, so he/she will know what the choices are.
(After a couple times using this booklet, you may not need to go through the above steps).
Finally, go through the booklet with the child.
Ask the question, while pointing to the picture on the page. Repeat if necessary.
Point to choices and ask the child to pick one. You may need to model this at first.
As the child, chooses the answer. If the child does not say the answer aloud, model it or prompt him/her.
Place answer on page square.
After saying what is on the answer square, repeat it using a full sentence to encourage correct grammar.
Go through the remaining pages this way.
