Using these word mats is as simple as printing them off! The mats can be used unlaminated, laminated, or you can put them in page protectors. Pair the mats with mini cars and as the student stops to practice each word they can cover the pictures. Pictures of bulidings have been provided as one option for covering the word pictures. You can add Velcro to laminated pages to attach the buildings. Another option is using a play doh cutter in the shape of a house to make buildings to cover each word (shown on the cover) or smash balls of dough on each word picture. Car or house shaped mini erasers, small blocks, magnetic circles or stickers also make great picture markers. The options are endless!
