What educators are saying

I used this resource as a parents handout for a new speech student, it was very informative and the parent really appreciated it.

  1. This is a HUGE collection of all my carryover and/or home practice materials! I send these materials home frequently to increase generalization of speech and language skills. Also, with the recent closing of schools due to health issues I used these materials to create a home program plan for each

Description

These were created to help save paper and copies when sending home practice for speech and language skills. I have included one page for articulation, language, fluency, pragmatics, and communication as well as word/picture lists for articulation sounds. On each page, I have included parent tips or information about the area of communication along with practice ideas/strategies. For the articulation practice, I would recommend attaching one of the word/picture lists with the student’s specific speech sound. Also, the communication handout was created for students who use limited language and/or alternative means of communication.

The following phonemes are included with the picture/word lists: /P, B, M, D, T, K, G, F, V, S, Z, J, N, Y, H, W, L, prevocalic R, SH, CH, TH (voiced), TH (voiceless), L-Blends, S-blends, R-blends, Vocalic R/.

The following phonological process minimal pairs are included with the picture lists: fronting, stopping, postvocalic voicing, prevocalic voicing, nasalization, stridency deletion, cluster reduction, final consonant deletion

The following specific language skills are included: nouns, verbs, categories, sequencing, what questions, where questions, who questions, when questions, why questions, mixed questions, yes/no questions, compare/contrast, vocabulary (synonyms/antonyms/homophones/homonyms)

Most lists included targeted words in all positions EXCEPT: Y, H, W, prevocalic R and blends.
