This easy to use screener was created to help informally assess Kindergarten and First grade student’s speech and language skills.The screener can be used for speech and language skills together, or just as a speech screener or a language screener. This fast and in depth screener can be used for new speech and language students, whole grade levels, or incoming screening Kindergarten students. It can also be used as a screening tool to determine the need for further assessment.

- Information Observations (Voice, Fluency, Syntax, Oral Mechanism, and Hearing)
This screener offers overall rating outcomes (Age Appropriate, Motor, Referral) and some guidance for the number of errors present and cut-off limits. It should be noted that these numbers come from practice based research and a variety of other screening materials.This screener is not normed. Results and recommendations should be based on clinical discretion of the administering therapist. Any and all recommendations for formal evaluation should be done at the determination of the administering therapist and should include a variety of factors including: including age, type of error, and comorbidities.
