We are Speech and Language Providers. It is essential to keep track of any and all communication we have regarding our students. We often call the parents to give them regular updates on progress. We also communicate with the staff within our building.
We found it useful to make a "Communication Log" that we have each of our students fill out at the beginning of the year with their contact information. Then we use the lines at the bottom to track any and all communication so that we can quickly refer back if needed. We usually write the date and a quick synopsis of what was discussed in the conversation. We figured we would share some of our organizational strategies that we use since we have such large caseloads.
