Sometimes children can struggle to understand dismissal from speech therapy services. It is a big change for them, and explanation of why they came and why they are done can help ease the transition.
I created this book for a child who was ready for dismissal but wanted to keep coming to speech. It is designed to explain why he needed me (speech therapist) in the beginning, but no longer needs me. I was also careful to include that he needs to continue learning communication skills and using what he's learned. In addition to recognizing his accomplishments, it congratulates him on graduating.
*Print and bind as an excellent parting gift for kids who are dismissed
*Powerpoint File so that you can customize certain pages for each child you give it to
*This book features cute Smarty Ears symbols and simple language
*Addresses the accomplishment of graduating from speech therapy as well as advice about continuing to learn after speech therapy
*Tip: I save my completed books as .pdfs after I edit, and go into my printer settings to print 2 pages per piece of paper
