We have made a fun articulation and letter practice resource that can be used the whole year long! That is because we love incorporating literacy related activities into our speech therapy sessions that also target articulation advancement. That makes this document perfect for many teachers and also speech therapists!
Inside this document you will find a worksheet for both the upper and lowercase letters and sounds for:
/B/, /CH/, /D/, /F/, /G/, /H/, /J/, /K/, /L/, /M/, /N/, /NG/, /P/, /R/, /S/, /SH/, /T/, VOICED & UNVOICED /TH/, /V/, /W/, /Y/, /Z/, and /ZH/.
These letters are mazes. Kids love to complete mazes so that is why we are discovering that our students are enjoying this product for working on their letter identification and articulation skills. They are even asking for us to pull out more pages for them once the first ones have been completed!
Students can work on their individual sound productions with the help of the visual sound models provided on every page. In addition, students can work on saying their sound in words by naming the pictures around the maze and also the words that are on the Quick Strip Articulation pages.
You will find three pages of Articulation Quick Strips including all 24 sounds within this product! These sound strips include 10 words on each one. The initial, medial and final sounds in words are all covered. The black-lined pictures included on every strip can be colored and cut out and used to paste onto the alphabet worksheets or used somewhere else (e.g., to be inserted into an open reinforcer (like a fun bank or a worksheet with a slit made for insertion of cards), or used as mini flashcards, or on any open-ended worksheet.) There's SO MANY USES FOR ARTICULATION QUICK STRIPS!!!
1) Students are encouraged to complete the uppercase or lowercase letter maze on the page.
2) Next, locate the needed sound on the Quick Strip Articulation Strip page. Ask the student to produce the word, color the word, and say the word once again using their best speech as they cut the word off of the strip.
3) Finally, ask the student to say the word once again as they match the picture of the word with the one on the alphabet maze page and paste or tape it down on top of the matching picture square.
This product will be one that you will use all of the time to help to increase student letter knowledge and also articulation accuracy. We hope that you will be super happy with the purchase of it!
