Product Description
This Speed Dating Activity provides teachers with 18 equations that are currently in Point Slope Form. Cards need to be copied, cut out and distributed to students. Students rearrange the equations into Slope Intercept Form. They will meet with the partner that has the same card to confirm they have the same answer and correct steps to rearrange the equation. From there, one partner stays, and the other moves on to their next “math date!” Students trade equations, solve in terms of y, and check their work with the expert. Continue rotating until everyone in the class has solved all the equations.

- Copy one set of problems on one color of paper, and another set on a different color. This helps to tell which student to stay seated and which should rotate.
- If there are an odd number of students, set a problem at a desk with the answer written on the back for students to check their work.
- Ask students if they are “falling in love” with math. :)
