Part A: Reading Passage
Reading passage explains the difference between speed, velocity, and acceleration using examples and providing formula's.
Part B: Identifying Speed, Velocity, and Acceleration
This worksheet gives students the opportunity to identify the different examples of speed, velocity, and acceleration.
Part C and Part D: Pictogram
Students will be able to calculate the speed and velocity using the pictogram provided. The pictogram has the distance and time.
Part E: Mini-Quiz
The mini-quiz allow students to fill in the missing vocabulary words from the unit.
I use this mini-unit as my Introduction to Speed, Velocity, and Acceleration. My students appreciate this introduction between it allows them to become comfortable with the unit of motion.
