The purpose of the motion project is to help students relate physical science concepts of motion to real life scenarios. Students are asked to use motion words (speed, velocity, acceleration), make calculations, and incorporate the information onto their project. They have the freedom to select the product that they want to use, such as a scavenger hunt, short story, road trip, or map. Students have the option to work independently or in groups of up to four and are encouraged to use the internet to find actual distances and time.
Overall, my students had a great time working on this project.
