This "speed dating" activity is designed to help students simply unpack and plan an argument/construction essay from Part II of the AP English Language and Composition exam. This "speed-dating" activity can be done in class or for homework but is intended to be a "short and sweet" version of the essay. The bulk of the students' time should be spent reading and brainstorming around the prompt, and the second but no less important task should be crafting a cogent thesis and determining the major evidence to be used in the body of the essay.
